Three Day Lyrical Challenge: Day 1

I was tagged by the wonderful Leslie, over on Books Are The New Black. Be sure to check out her blog. This is my first time being tagged for anything so I feel truly honored. *takes bow*

The rules are simple:

  1. Thank the person who nominated you.
  2. Share one of your favorite song/lyrics one at a time for three days.
  3. Nominate three other bloggers each day.

So, my favorite genre of music is Christian and Gospel. My car radio is always tuned in to a Christian station. I went to a Kim Walker-Smith concert recently, so I’ve been really into her music lately. My favorite song from her is Throne Room.

[Verse 1]
Dream after dream
You are, speaking to me
Breathing, word after word
Of kingdom come
Here at Your feet
I can, see the unseen
Truly, one look at You
And I’m undone[Pre-Chorus]
I run to, the Throne Room
I run to, the Throne Room

[Chorus]
And I fall on my face
With angels and saints
And all I can say is
Holy, Holy, Holy
Are You God
My heart can’t contain
The weight of Your name
And all I can say is
Holy, Holy, Holy
Are You

[Verse 2]
Grace upon grace
All my, fear falls away
Only, Your perfect love
For me remains
Time after time
You stay, close by my side
Burning, fire inside
I can’t contain

[Pre-Chorus]
I run to, the Throne Room
I run to, the Throne Room!

[Chorus]
And I fall on my face
With angels and saints
And all I can say is
Holy, Holy, Holy
Are You God
My heart can’t contain
The weight of Your name
And all I can say is
Holy, Holy, Holy
Are You

[Bridge]
I run to, the Throne Room
Before You, the only One
I run to, the Throne Room
Before You, I’m overcome
I run to, the Throne Room
Before You, the only One
I run to, the Throne Room
Before You, I’m overcome!

[Chorus]
And I fall on my face
With angels and saints
And all I can say is
Holy, Holy, Holy
Are You God
My heart can’t contain
The weight of Your name
And all I can say is
Holy, Holy, Holy
Are You

[Instrumental]

I nominate Sara, Delphine, and Rendz. Make sure to let me know if you’re doing this, and no biggie if you choose not to.
