Soooo… tonight’s episode was a lot. Some of it was stuff we’ve been waiting for all season, some of it was stuff no one asked for. All in all, a pretty interesting season finale.
As usual, my full recap will be up on Saturday, I just wanted to let y’all know my immediate thoughts.
Let’s run through this real quick.

Main Plot
We pick up where we left off last episode, with Zoey waking up from her nightmare. She decides to talk to Luca about the job and at first he’s “cool” with it, until it actually registers.
They have a big fight and don’t talk for a full week. She still invites him to the last day of the pop-up shop and he surprisingly shows up. He basically tells Zoey she got the job because she’s pretty, not because of her skill.

She’s pissed so they go outside to talk it out. Then they *finally* breakup. I’ve been waiting for this all season.
Zoey gets a job at the London pop-up they’re opening and she has Aaron give her a ride. Then, right before she goes inside for her private jet ride, Zoey kisses Aaron.
Luca makes it to the airport, but by then it’s too late. She’s sitting in the plane, contemplating her soon to be hot girl summer.
Side Plot
Sky got her cast off but she can’t compete in track regionals because she has a hairline fracture. This is going to be Jazz’s first time competing without her sister.
Ana tells Zoey that she wasn’t in love with Aaron, she just liked the idea of being in love. I feel like that’s something a lot of people can relate to, I know I definitely can.
Nomi’s waiting for a call back from this internship she applied to. She gets a call from the school about allegations against Professor Hewson, so we know that’s gonna be spicy in Season 3.
Doug and Vivek both like a jacket at the pop-up shop and they decide to share it. Then they see Dean Telphy with the same one, so Doug gives Vivek full custody of the jacket.
My Thoughts
A lot of what happened tonight needed to happen. Luca and Zoey aren’t right for one another. Zoey has a lot of passion and drive when it comes to the things she cares about. Luca is very lax and doesn’t take most things seriously. It was doomed from the start.
Just because Luca isn’t right for her, doesn’t mean Zoey should just jump into a new relationship. Yes, I was Team Aaron for a long time but I don’t think the two of them are ready for a relationship right now. They just need to be single for a minute.
The group dynamics are going to take a major hit next season. If Zoey ends up with Aaron, it’s going to be really awkward with Ana. No matter how much she claims she’s over it, having your best friend date a dude you were sleeping with is hard to be okay with.
The Season 3 trailer dropped and I am pumped. It’s just too bad we have to wait till Winter 2020. I’ll have a few posts on my theories for season three up in the next few weeks, so make sure to add your email to the mailing list on the sidebar (scroll all the way down on the mobile view) if you want to keep updated on that.
