Welcome to the fourth installment of Down the TBR Hole. As with any good game, we must start off with the rules.
- 1. Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf.
- 2. Order on ascending date added.
- 3. Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books.
- 4. Read the synopsis of the books.
- 5. Time to Decide: keep it or should it go
I usually do these on Mondays, but I wanted to post my review for My Life as an Ice Cream Sandwich before the release date. Make sure to check that out if you haven’t seen it yet.
This is a fun and easy way to work through your TBR pile and get some blogging out of it. I highly recommend these. As always, click the titles for the Goodreads page.
Scintillate by Tracy Clark
Paranormal fantasy doesn’t interest me anymore. I went through a phase back in middle school and partly 9th grade where I was obsessed with this kind of thing. It just doesn’t float my boat anymore.
Edgar Allan Poe’s Annotated Poems by Andrew Barger
I’m pretty sure I added this to my TBR because of a giveaway. I love Edgar Allen Poe, but all his work can be found at the library or online. This isn’t something I need to have on my shelves.
Verdict: Leave it behind
Diary of a Freedom Writer: The Experience by Darrius Garrett
After watching the movie however many years ago, I instantly added this to my TBR. Now, I’m not really worried about it. I also haven’t been in the mood for a memoir lately.
Verdict: Let it go
The Cherry Blossom Murder by Fran Pickering
I’m on the fence about this one. I added it for a giveaway that I, not so shockingly, didn’t win. The reviews I’m seeing do speak highly of it.
A More Deserving Blackness by Angela Wolbert
Honestly, I completely forgot about this book. I don’t even remember adding it to my TBR, but the synopsis sounds amazing. It’s also pretty relevant to the things I read so…
I was worried that I would be unhauling all of these, but I let go of three and kept the last two. Progress is a process.
