Let’s Catch Up (#26)

Comments 2 Standard

Hay y’all! So I was honestly slacking this week when it comes to blogging. If you live in the US (and even if you don’t) you were probably feeling just as stressed as I was. Without further ado, go grab a cozy blanket, warm beverage, and take a seat so we can catch up.

Life Update

It was election week here in the US. Not only did I vote on Tuesday, I also had a wisdom tooth removed so it’s been a time. It was my first time voting for a president because I was only 15 going on 16 last time around. All this to say that I’m happy with the final results 😌.

Obsessing over the election took up most of my time so I honestly don’t remember much else happening this week. I also couldn’t go anywhere because my mom didn’t want me to have any issues with the tooth situation. Thankfully it’s healing really well and my cheek isn’t nearly as swollen anymore.

I’m participating in Nanowrimo so I’ve been working on that and it’s honestly going so well this year. My goal is 30k words so I’ve been doing a minimum of 1000 words each day. I really like where my story is going and I even made a cover for it. If you’re doing Nanowrimo too, add me as a buddy!

Blogging Update

As you can see, I’ve had a lot going on this week so it hasn’t been the best week for blogging. I only posted once this week and I posted two reels on my bookstagram. I don’t think I posted any new photos but… check out my bookstagram anyway:

What Did I Miss?

This is the part where I catch you up on my latest blog posts. Like I said before, I only posted once this week so in case you missed it:

We Are Okay Book Review ~ Rae's Reads and Reviews

I finished up my review for We Are Okay by Nina LaCour. I had some mixed feelings about it so check that out if you’d like to hear more from me.

thats all folks GIF

How was your week? What are you looking forward to? Do you have any holiday plans? Let me know in the comments below, let’s chat!

  1. I had a good week. I’m working on crocheting a blanket as a wedding gift for my cousin, and I made good progress on that. I’m looking forward to my vacation time in December. I don’t have plans to go anywhere, but it’s nice just lounging around the house.
