I’m so late on this and I’m sure y’all are tired of me talking about school by now, so let’s just get started.
Miles Morales is a regular kid, at least he used to be. Until he was bitten by a radioactive spider, but it doesn’t end there. Miles Morales may be the newest Spider-Man, but that doesn’t mean he’s the only Spider-Man. There’s a glitch in Brooklyn and now there are multiple spider people, including a spider pig. Will the rag tag team be able to take down the villain and get back to each of their Brooklyns?
I’m trying out a new series! If you’d like to participate, just comment down below. Mini-Review Monday is just that, a mini-review on a Monday. It can be on books, products, or TV shows/movies.
I recently watched the film adaptation of Room on Netflix and all I can say is that I was bawling for a chunk of it. It’s about a woman who was kidnapped and had a child, who she names Jack, for her captor. Her son is five years old and she plans to have him escape the room, with or without her.
Coco is about a Mexican boy whose family forbids music. Miguel is a musician, no matter how often his abuela tells him how music almost ruined his family. Miguel plans to perform on Día de Muertos in hopes of becoming as famous as his hero, Ernesto de la Cruz. Instead, Miguel finds himself in The Land of the Dead. He must make it back home by sunrise if he wants to stay alive.
I had a feeling I would like the movie better and that feeling proved true. I’m not a big fan of teen romance novels but I love the films. I also feel like this concept works better as a film. The movie did a great job of condensing the book and taking its own turns. I loved the way it played out on screen.
