Top 5 Tuesday – A to E

Comments 4 Standard

Hey y’all! It’s Tuesday, so you know what that means…

Top 5 Tuesday was originally created by Shanah @ Bionic Book Worm. She has now passed the baton to Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads. This month is alphabetical so it’ll definitely be easier to schedule ahead for me. (I say this while working on this post the night before.)

So far, I’m going off of author names, but that will probably change as the weeks go on. These are all authors who I either love, or who’s stories really made me think.

I’m a Published Poet!

Comments 4 Standard

Hey everyone! This is something that I’ve been working toward over the past month and I’m very excited to announce that several of my poems have been published in a literary magazine. Please click the link in the article to check them out and any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Don't Get it Twisted

Hey y’all, so I’ve been writing poetry since the 7th grade and I recently decided to take my poetry more seriously. If you’ve seen my 100 Day Project posts, you may already know that I’ve signed up for a trial of Skillshare. Rachel Mindell’s lesson on How to Get Published was exactly what I needed.

I started submitting my poems to different literary magazines last month and the first one to get back to me was Rigorous Magazine, a literary magazine with work specifically from people of color. I submitted 10 poems and they accept 9!

If you’d like to check out my first set of published poems, click here!

Let’s Catch Up (#3)

Comments 8 Standard

Hey y’all, it’s that time of the week again!

I ended up posting every day this week except Thursday, but 6/7 isn’t too bad. I’m surprised I was able to do it between school and work. That being said, I’ll probably start slowing down now with classes but I’m still determined to have at least 2 posts out every week.

Enough about me, let’s catch up!
