The premise of Little is simple enough. Our main character, Jordan, goes to sleep grown and wakes up little. It’s not only strange, but also inconvenient for this tech mogul.
Jordan is not someone to be messed with. From an early age she realized that to avoid being bullied, she had to become the bully. She’s had to step on a lot of toes to get where she is today.
Now, she’s the head a huge tech company and she’s making some serious bank. I’m talking top penthouse suite kind of money. But that money can’t buy happiness, or the love of her coworkers. They completely fear her, and that’s how Jordan likes it. Her assistant, April, is at Jordan’s beck and call.
After messing with the wrong little girl, Jordan has some black girl magic thrown in her face. The next morning, she wakes up thirteen again, aka the worst time of her life. She calls in April to help her figure out how to get back to grown Jordan and the story goes on from there.
I’ve been waiting for this movie to come out for months now, especially after hearing Marsai Martin produced it. I went to see it with a group and we had a great time. It’s definitely one of those movies that appeals to a broad audience. There’s a cute message at the end and everything’s tied up nicely. I’m hoping to see more movies from Martin’s company.
I plan on posting my actual Recap + Discussion some time tomorrow. I just wanted to talk about tonight’s episode ASAP. Until then, you can check out my twitter feed since I was live-tweeting the whole episode. This post is gonna be filled with spoilers, so be warned.
This episode was packed with all the punches. Zoey was going through a whole lot and so was her squad. I’m so happy she was honest about the cheating situation, even if she did end up getting academic probation. It could’ve been a whole lot worse.
Episode nine starts with Zoey, Ana, and Nomi being a cute little squad. They head over to the Cal U Arts Fest to see Luca’s exhibit. One of Luca’s pieces hits a nerve for Zoey. It’s legit a painting of Luca’s ex, and it is super detailed. Aaron mentions that the body is “very well composed.”
I’ve been gone too long y’all. Life has been hitting me hard, but I’m starting my Spring Break and trust me, I need it. How have you been?
Make sure to check out my other recaps. I’ll get the Episode 9 recap out within the next few days.
So this episode starts with Zoey at one of the biggest parties of the semester… during finals week. It’s literally called “Faded for Finals.” She talks about her 3-pronged plan to keep her from getting too wild tonight. She has a timer, breathalyzer, and water, claiming she’ll only stay for ten minutes. Mmmhmm, we’ll see about that boo.
